House Viljoen resembles the Winelands living very well with wide open spaces overlooking the beautiful vineyards.
Mrs Viljoen was telling us that she told her husband if she is going to use our product, she wants to have it in the entire house otherwise she does not want it at all.
Because of the orientation of the site the Architect had the obstacle of designing a house so that all living spaces receive optimal sunlight. The solution he came up with was to create an atrium right in the middle of the house. The Atrium was executed beautifully as all living spaces and bedrooms walk onto the atrium accompanied with a deck and beautiful swimming pool.
The black polished concrete flows right to the edges of every corner of the home. This creates the perfect contrast against the white walls. The theme is carried out through the entire house by giving a clean minimalistic feel to it.
The challenge was to full fill and to deliver and to manage the clients understanding, of the floor that she had in her mind and to succeed with the result. A happy client is the highest and most rewarding result that one can achieve on a project like this.
